Murray Downs Shed

 
 

After the Exhibition, you'll see the historic Murray Downs Woolshed, relocated to its current site in 2001 from the Swan Hill region in Victoria. The Murray Downs shed is a real working woolshed, and our popular shearer conducts shearing demonstrations several times daily.

You'll have the opportunity to learn more about shearers' equipment, sheep types, wool classing, microns, working dogs, and machine and blade shearing technique.

You'll also be able to meet and talk with the shearer, who'll be able to answer (hopefully!), all those burning questions you have!
