Further inside the Exhibition you’ll really start to get a feel for the shearer’s life and work. You can take on Jackie Howe’s legendary blade shears record, hang out in a shearers sling, get the feel of a hand piece, and count calories trying to work as hard as a shearer.

If you’re a kid (or just want to act like one!) you can try your hand at the Bleat Sheep game. You’ll be able to view the magnificent Grahame Daniels collection of machine shears, the Koerstz Wool Press, the Robotic Shearer, and the Biotec Syringe. You can listen to the stories of the cooks, shearers, and shed hands, and snuggle up in the shearers accommodation, - then and now.

And for a real piece of history, find some relatives and friends on our extensive Who Shore Where database, - maybe you even have some stories you’d like to tell us! Our Who Shore Where listing is an ever-expanding collection of information and historic data designed to enable easy cross-referencing and retrieval of information pertaining to all aspects of the shearing industry and personnel from all across the nation. We welcome new contributions!
