The following information is provided to assist you in organising your tour for daytime visitation. There is some flexibility should your group desire access to the museum outside of normal trading hours and ask that you call to discuss this if required.
Groups should be on site at least 15 minutes prior to the shearing demonstration to allow for time to get to the shearing venue.

Hours of Operation
9am - 5 pm. Open 7 days a week
Shearing Demonstrations 10.30am, 1pm & 3.30pm daily.
Closed Christmas Day.
Good Friday determined on demand.
Shear Outback closes each year for a week in February for maintenance.
Admittance
$9.50 per person for groups of 21 or more
$11.00 per person for groups of 10 – 20
$6 per student (valid to 31.12.08)
Smoko and Lunch
The café on site offers groups a bus/group menu.
Special needs
Wheel chair is available for use on site. Disabled access to all areas.
Shear Outback recommends that for a quality visit you should allow a minimum of one hour for the museum and Australian Shearers’ Hall of Fame and half an hour for the shearing demonstration in the Murray Down Shearing Shed. In addition you should allow 15-20 minutes for smoko and 45 minutes for lunch.

Evening Visitation
Shear Strife - Sound & Light Show
Shear Strife is a state of the art sound & light show. This imaginative theatrical experience magically brings to life the fight to improve working conditions of the shearing industry. Staged five nights a week from March to November, Shear Strife is the tale of a shearers’
cook who lived through it all and we are delighted to offer this new, additional experience for groups.
Hours of Operation
Start times vary in accordance with sunset times- please check when booking
Operates 5 days a week (Wednesday- Sunday inclusive) however additional shows can be arranged.
Operates from March 1st - November 30th annually.
Groups should be on site at least 10 minutes prior to the show start time.
Admittance
$13.50 per person for groups of 21 or more
$15 per person for groups of 10 – 20
$6 per student (valid to 31.12.08)
Supper
The ticket price includes a light supper and a souvenir enamel mug.

Will be provided.
Dress
Approximately 70% of the show occurs outside so visitors need to rug up- a warm jacket, good walking shoes, camera and a steady nerve are all that are recommended.

Packaged Tickets
Book for a daytime visit and the sound & light show to receive a 10% discount off the total ticket price. The discount does not apply to additional catering.
