Discover what it’s really like to be a shearer
At Shear Outback, we work with educational institutions at all levels to create a real and meaningful experience which we guarantee will make learning about the shearing and wool industries - and our Riverina region - good wholesome fun.
We offer educational packages tailored to set curriculum at all levels, and create school excursions and tours to suit all learning experiences. Our primary, secondary and tertiary visitors can learn all about shearing technique, wool classing, microns, sheep diet, sheep anatomy, what a shearer takes to work each day and more besides.
At Shear Outback, we have the curatorial, industry and shearing staff to ensure your next project and visit is an informative and educational one. And when you get here, we have the sheep, dogs and true-blue yarn-spinning shearers to make sure your learning experience is a lively and entertaining one. Check out the Exhibition section on this site to see more about the entertaining aspects of your Shear Outback visit.
